Learning Disabilities & Complex Care Support Worker
Location: Doncaster
Salary: Starting from £12.57 per hour + Holiday Pay

Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for a 15 year old male with complex needs in a home setting. He has cerebral palsy, severe learning disabilities, epilepsy and is gastrostomy (PEG) fed. This is a highly rewarding role supporting a young person to live a safe, comfortable and fulfilling life while promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 personalised care and support
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care.
- Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
- Support mobility, positioning and physical needs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalised care plans.
- Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.
About You:
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
- Previous experience working with Complex Care for at least 6 months.
- Previous experience with supporting learning disabilities
- Any restraint training/violence prevention training qualifications are desirable but not required.
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or Mental Health (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic with a strong commitment to supporting individuals with mental health needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity.
- A proactive and positive approach to supporting service users.
