Job Title: Learning Disabilities Support Worker - Part Time
Location: Hull
Salary: Starting from 13 per hour - £14 per hour +12.07% Holiday Pay
NL Group pay weekly

Ideal for Support Workers who are seeking to fit work around their busy lives with part time shifts and flexibility, but also want to thrive in a rewarding career.
Part time hours throughout the day.
The support would be either 1:1 or 2:1. We are looking for before and after school care in term-time, before and after holiday club, and some full days in school holidays. Most shifts will be split for example 6:30 – 9:30 then 14:30 – 19:30. We will require one driver on every shift who can drive a Motability wheelchair accessible vehicle.
Role Overview: As a Learning Disabilities Support Worker, you will provide vital care and support to individuals with verbal and non verbal Autism. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care plans, helping service users manage their mental health and achieve their personal goals. Your role will be pivotal in promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
We are seeking an experienced Support Worker with a strong background in supporting individuals with Autism, Epilepsy and behaviours that are challenging.to join our team in Hull. This rewarding role offers shifts from 2 hours to 12 hours. You must be a driver over the age of 25 for insurance purposes ( GOR )
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to individuals with learning disabilities, both in residential settings and within the community.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
- Support clients in developing coping strategies, life skills, and accessing community resources.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.
About You:
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
- Previous experience working with learning disabilities for at least 6 months.
- Any restraint training/violence prevention training qualifications are desirable but not required.
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or Mental Health (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity.
- A proactive and positive approach to supporting service users.
