Deputy Manager - Homecare and Complex Care Services

Location: NL Group Office, Hessle

(with travel across operational regions as required)

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000pa

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and compassionate Deputy Manager to support the operational leadership of our service and help drive excellence in care delivery.

The Role

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 17:30pm

(Alternative weekend on call support essential part of the role)

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the day-to-day management of our Homecare and Complex Care services. Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will ensure high standards of care, compliance, staff performance, and service delivery across the organisation.

You will provide leadership, guidance, and support to the Care Coordinator team while helping to maintain a positive, professional, and high-performing culture.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within Health and Social Care.
  • Strong understanding of domiciliary care and/or complex care services.
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding procedures, and best practice standards.
  • Experience managing and developing staff teams.
  • Experience of rota management and workforce planning.
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Competent IT skills, including experience with electronic rostering systems.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or willingness to work towards).
  • Experience of supporting safeguarding investigations.
  • Experience of disciplinary and employee relations processes.
  • Experience within complex care services.
  • Previous experience acting as a Deputy Manager or Registered Care Manager
