Complex Care Support Worker NIGHTS

Location: Scunthorpe

Shift pattern 8pm until 8am on a 4:3 2 week rolling roster. You will support at home and in the community.

Salary: £13ph for week days £14ph for weekends + Holiday Pay (12.07%)

You will be paid weekly by NL Group.

As a Support Worker, you will provide person centred care and support an individual with complex needs, Epilepsy and Downs Syndrome. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care plans, helping service users manage their mental health and achieve their personal goals. Your role will be pivotal in promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being.

This is a consistent, long term placement with a structured rota, offering stability and the opportunity to build a meaningful, trusting relationship while supporting daily living and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support to individuals with complex conditions, both in residential settings and within the community.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Build trusting relationships with clients, offering emotional support and encouragement.
  • Support clients in developing coping strategies, life skills, and accessing community resources.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders 
  • Monitor and document client progress
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all clients.

About You:

  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
  • Previous experience working with Learning Disabilities for at least 6 months.
  • Any restraint training/violence prevention training qualifications are desirable but not required as full DMI training is provided
  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care or Mental Health (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are an advantage.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic with a strong commitment to supporting individuals with mental health needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity.
  • A proactive and positive approach to supporting service users.
