About This Role

Make a real difference every day as a Complex Care Support Worker in Hull.

We are looking for compassionate, dedicated and reliable Support Workers to support an individual living with severe epilepsy and complex needs. You will provide personalised support, including seizure monitoring, recognising and responding appropriately to seizures, following individualised seizure management plans, and providing reassurance and support to promote safety, comfort and wellbeing. Full training and ongoing support will be provided to help you develop the skills and confidence needed to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual care plans.

• Support personal care needs while promoting dignity, independence and comfort.

• Assist with moving and handling in accordance with care plans, training and safe working practices.

• Provide seizure support 

• Build trusting relationships, offering reassurance, companionship and emotional support.

• Monitor wellbeing, maintain accurate care records and report any concerns promptly.

• Work collaboratively with the wider care team and relevant healthcare professionals.

• Promote a safe, positive and inclusive environment.

About You

We are looking for individuals who are caring, patient, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality care.

Essential requirements:

• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

• Availability to work 12-hour day and/or night shifts, as required by the role.

• A compassionate and responsible approach to supporting individuals with complex needs.

• Willingness to complete the necessary training and competency assessments.

Desirable experience and qualifications:

• Previous experience supporting individuals with complex care needs.

• PEG/PEJ feeding experience.

• Relevant Health and Social Care qualifications, such as NVQ Level 2 or Level 3.

Previous specialist experience is beneficial, but applicants must meet the role's essential requirements and complete all required training and competency assessments.
